The Digital Key is a smart, keyless driving authorization system for motorcycles. It replaces conventional keys with modern radio technologies and enables access and vehicle control via smartphone, transponder or NFC tag.
The system is based on a combination of UWB (Ultra-Wideband), BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and NFC (Near Field Communication). These technologies enable:
Passive access & start: the vehicle automatically recognizes the authorized user and unlocks or starts without active interaction.
Key sharing: Digital keys can be shared securely via app.
Personalization: Authentication allows individual user profiles.
Fallback solution: An NFC tag serves as backup access.
The central control unit communicates via a CAN interface and is optionally equipped with Automotive Ethernet for OEM cloud connection. The solution meets current cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434) and is CCC-compliant.
